Upcoming Carers Meeting

 

A reminder that Headway Ayrshire hold monthly Carers Meetings on Tuesday evenings. These are held in Ayr (Sutherland House) and Hurlford (Community Centre), alternatively. The date of the next meeting is as follows:

Tuesday 28th May: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Hurlford

Calling all budding poets!! Headway UK would like you to put pen to paper and write or record a poem, haiku, or ditty in appreciation of Carers or from a Carer’s perspective.

Digby Brown Head Injury Information Day

 

On Tuesday 14th May 2024 Digby Brown are hosting a Head Injury Information Day at Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, Glasgow.

The information day provides the opportunity to learn about head and brain injury, meet services and support groups, and participate in workshops.

Recent Carers Education Sessions

 

 

Carers Education Sessions recently took place on Tuesday 16th and 23rd April and were well received.

The Sessions give a valuable insight into brain/head injuries and offer daily coping strategies for all the family. The next round of sessions is due to take place in October 2024.

Presentation of Ten Pin Bowling Trophy

 

In February, Clients from our East Ayrshire Community Rehabilitation Group took part in a Ten Pin Bowling tournament. This was enjoyed by all.
