Trip to Summerlee Heritage Park

Our South Ayrshire Community Rehabilitation Group enjoyed a visit to Summerlee Heritage Park on Tuesday 20th August 2024. The trip was a great success and a good time was had by all.

Our Pool Competition Winner

We’d like to congratulate the winner of our recent Pool Competition, Quincy McGarrie, who ‘pocketed’ this fantastic trophy, presented right on ‘cue’, by Headway Ayrshire Manager, Jayne McClymont. The presentation is pictured below. Definitely one for a ‘frame’! Well done, Quincy!

Art Group Sculpture is Tip of the Iceberg

 

The Art Group at our South Ayrshire Community Rehabilitation Group were recently given the opportunity to produce a centrepiece on the theme of head/brain injury to grace a table at Digby Brown’s Head Injury Information Day on Tuesday 14th May.

Presentation of Ten Pin Bowling Trophy

 

In February, Clients from our East Ayrshire Community Rehabilitation Group took part in a Ten Pin Bowling tournament. This was enjoyed by all. Awareness raising and Prevention Campaigns in Schools

Headway Ayrshire has commenced its “Awareness Raising & Prevention Campaigns” in local Secondary Schools across Ayrshire.  The presentation is for S4, S5 & S6 pupils and the purpose of the presentation is to promote awareness of brain/head injuries associated with road traffic accidents and drugs/alcohol abuse, concussion, and the dangers of taking risks.
