Rehabilitative/Self-help groups

Headway Ayrshire aims to provide rehabilitation groups in peoples own communities or as near as possible.

At the moment we provide Community Rehabilitation groups in Ayrshire. This provides the opportunity for a number of members to relearn old skills and learn some new eg. Arts & crafts, keep fit, swimming, social outings, memory groups, literacy and numeracy sessions, computing/internet sessions. We also have worked in conjunction with a local college enabling members to access education. We have invested in specialist software for people with problems with memory, speech and co-ordination.
